"Don't Tell Me There Is Nothing Left"

FOUR BLACK LUNGS is a punk band from Munich, Germany, and they are no strangers to this zine.

After 6 singles and an exciting video trilogy FOUR BLACK LUNGS are not stopping at all! After some line up changes the band is back with full power. This is the review of their debut album, which was released on vinyl via Noisy Plastic Records on may 24th 2024.

Album is named "Don't Tell Me There Is Nothing Left" and it brings us eight songs: City of Dust, Bad for me (feat. Jeri from Nofnog) , Nightwalking (feat. Émilie Plamondon) , Old Friends (feat. Domi from Swallows Rose), Old Patterns, Lost Places, Nervous but OK and Recovery. The songs progress as the album goes on, bringing us clean, uncomplicated, strong punk with rough but melodic vocal that had my heart at first listening. The production is fantastic and musically they sound mind blowing! This is one of those records that sits on the first listening, but gets better with every next one. My fav song on this one is Lost Places.

In their bio they say for fans of Hot Water Music, Iron Chic and The Menzingers. However, I hear a bit of Frank Turner, a bit of Rise Against and a lot of Cock Sparrer in this album so give this one a listen. I see big things happening to these guys! Well done guys, well done!!!
