NEW ON MY PLAYLIST: THIS IS A TRAIN WRECK
THIS IS A TRAIN WRECK is a four piece band from Van Nuys, California. The band is formed in 2015., and after what they say "a constant flux of the line up" for the last 2 years and maybe some the band members are now settled. Paul Carone and Trevor Krause on guitars, Johnny Schwinn on bass and Teejay Impliazzo on drums. They just released a new single that will be on their 3rd EP.
The first time I listened to them they set in just the right place in my heart. Playing pure melodic punk, no complications, no bullshit. Simple (but in a good way) harmonies, nice melodic vocals, fast and calling for a singalong.
This single is no different... At the first listening it is contagious and catchy. It took me a while to sit down and write something, mostly because I couldn't sit still listening to it!
"My heart is trying to kill me" is almost hymnic, Vocal harmonies and guitar riffs gave me goosebumps as it takes you back to the golden years of punk rock in a manners of the greatest from that time.
I am really looking forward to listening more from this guys, as they are so refreshing and easy to connect to.
So if you are up for something new, trust me - these guys will hit all the right buttons in your punk rock hearts...
Hope to see them play somewhere, meanwhile I'll keep them on my playlist!
